Description

This Mouse Cadherin-3 (P-Cadherin) ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative detection of mouse P-Cadherin in cell culture supernates and serum. Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse P-Cadherin ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for P-Cadherin has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (NSO, E100-G647) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for P-Cadherin is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse P-Cadherin amount of sample captured in plate.
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: P-Cadherin, also known as Cadherin-3 (CDH3), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDH3 gene. This gene is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. This gene is located in a six-cadherin cluster in a region on the long arm of chromosome 16 that is involved in loss of heterozygosity events in breast and prostate cancer. In addition, aberrant expression of this protein is observed in cervical adenocarcinomas. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congential hypotrichosis with juvenile macular dystrophy. Cells expressing CDH3 also adhered to one another more tightly than the parental cell line
